Abstract:
As part of the “Swiss National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan” (NBSAP), the interdisciplinary ValPar.CH research team conducted the pilot project “Valorization of ecological infrastructure in parks of national importance”, commissioned by the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN). This project analyzed the value of nature from an ecological, social, and economic perspective. Using scenario-based approaches, the ValPar.CH team evaluated the possible development of a functioning network of habitats and identified instruments necessary to ensure long-term sustainable resource use.
