Specialties of Rolf Vinebrooke:
The main focus of my research program is to determine the cumulative impacts of global change on the biodiversity and related ecosystem processes in mountain, boreal, and arctic lakes. My research group uses a combination of paleolimnological methods, lake surveys, and in situ mesocosm experiments to develop and test hypotheses that identify the additive and non-additive impacts of multiple ecological stressors, such as climate change, air pollutants, and invasive species on food-webs.
