Long-term study of the sediments from the largest Lakes Ladoga and Onega, other lakes in the North-Western Russia and throughout the Former Soviet Union in Kazakhstan, Yakutiya, Narjan-Mar (Bolshezemelskaya tundra), Urengoy (West Siberian Plato), the Ural Region, Yakutia, Ukraina, Karelia, as well as in Sweden and Finland.
