Additional functions:
I have experience of working for 25 years for the hydrology of Himalayan rivers including hydrological investigations, data collection, analysis and hydrological modelling. Emphasis has been given on impact of climate change on the water resources of Himalayan rivers. Developed Snowmelt Model (SNOWMOD) and applied for several Himalayan rivers haing contribution from snow, glaciers and rainfall-runoff. Carried out detailed hydrological analysis for Himalayan glaciers including modelling of streamflow.

Carried out water availability and design flood analysis ffor hydropower projects in the Himalayan regions.

Carried out work for World bank funded projects for Himalayan rivers for optimization of resources.

Assiciate Editor for Hydrological Sciences Journal from 2006-2011.

I have written a book on SNOW AND GLACIER HYDROLOGY published from The Kluwer Academic Publishers, The Netherlands.
