I am a full-time researcher of CONICET in Instituto Argentino de Nivología, Glaciología y Ciencias Ambientales (IANIGLA), with a focus in glaciology and mountain permafrost of the Andes. As one of the few researchers in Argentina dedicating their life to the study of glaciers and mountain permafrost, I divide my time, contributing to the National Glacier Inventory of Argentina, studying the ice dynamics and mass balance of Andean glaciers and divulgating the cryospheric sciences. I am in charge of the mass balance program, and monitoring of the references glaciers of the Northern Patagonian and Central Andes and I have been technical director of different glaciers inventories along the Patagonian Andes of Argentina. Also, I am the organizer and main lecture of the postgraduate course on “Glaciology of the Southern Andes,” which we dictated at IANIGLA with the support of CONICET and IGS. I am Lead Author of Chapter 9 “Ocean, Cryosphere and Sea Level Change” of the next Six Assessment Report (AR6) of IPCC, which will be published by 2021. I am contributing author of the, recently published, “The Andean glacier and water atlas: the impact of glacier retreat on water resources.”
