Specialties of Diego Pons:
I am a climate scientist specialized in multi-temporal assessment of climate in mountain regions of Mesoamerica. I have been reconstructing climate in these regions making use of paleoclimatology methods to assess decadal variability and currently working with the Central American meteorological institutions to provide improved climate services for the agricultural sector in these mountain regions. My expertise also includes the assessment of adaptation strategies within agroforest systems and climate at different temporal scales.
