Specialties of Joe Ebersole:
I study thermal heterogeneity in stream networks at multiple scales ranging from small patches ~1m^2 to large regions ~10km^2. Understanding such patchiness and the factors that drive these patterns is important for evaluating ecological effects on taxa that utilize this patchiness for foraging, reproduction, and as refuge for surviving periods of adverse thermal conditions.
