Specialties of Elisa Lovecchio:
My research combines observations and models to study marine biogeochemical cycles (carbon, oxygen and nutrients), meso- and submesoscale dynamics, upwelling systems, biophysical interactions and ocean variability. I develop 3D high-resolution regional physical-biogeochemical ocean simulations as well as analyse data from ships, autonomous surveys, satellites and model reanalysis. I'm involved in planning and participating to fieldwork at sea.
