Specialties of Christoph Hugi:
I am heading the group for sustainable resources management at FHNW-HLS since 2010. Currently my field of research covers resource efficient and cleaner production, integrated water resources management and renewable energies. Before joining FHNW-HLS I worked for three years as a sustainability analyst at a large Swiss Bank and before as an environmental consultant for over 15 years for clients like the European Commission, the World Bank (WB) and Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW). I have considerable experience of managing and providing technical and financial expertise on international projects involving global project partners. Such projects have included CO2 reductions auctioning in Switzerland (Climate Cent Foundation), CO2 reduction projects identification in the Philippines (World Bank), water infrastructure project in China and Bangladesh (World Bank), the development of river basin management plans, feasibility studies on environmental protection measures, environmental cost-benefit analysis and environmental impact assessments globally.
